We built this site because processing an invoice shouldn't cost you your privacy
FileGuru isn't a platform that does everything. It's a deliberately short list of tools for one kind of person: someone who handles financial documents and wants to get the job done without sending them to a server whose owner they don't know.
The story, briefly
Search today for “convert bank statement to Excel” and you'll find dozens of sites. Nearly all of them ask you for one thing: upload your file to us. At that moment your clients' names, your account numbers and your transaction amounts have left your machine for a server in a country you don't know, under a promise of deletion you have no way to check.
Modern browsers can read and process PDF files locally, without any server. Yet most tools still insist on the upload — because the upload gives them your data, data can be sold, and advertising needs a visitor it can recognise.
Four rules we don't bend
How we earn
From subscriptions alone. The core tools are free, with no account and no annoying limits; the paid plan unlocks batch processing, OCR and the compliance tools.
We say this plainly because it affects you: when a site's income comes from ads, you become the product and keeping you on the page becomes the goal. When the income comes from subscriptions, the goal is for you to finish your task as fast as possible and leave satisfied. We chose the second model.
Where we are now
The site is new, and we'd rather say so than pretend otherwise. It was built in three waves, all available now:
Who's behind the site
FileGuru is one of the projects of PERCENTPRO GROUP, a group of independent platforms building practical tools for Arabic-speaking and global markets. The team is small and direct: the person who builds a tool is the person who answers your message.

FIDO — your file doctor
The small button in the corner of every page is FIDO — short for FIle DOctor. It's the FG mark brought to life: its teal eye inside the G scans your document while it's processed, turns amber when something's wrong, and then tells you why and what to do. Like everything here, it runs inside your browser and never sees your files outside your device.

A tool suggestion, a file a tool couldn't handle, or a technical question about privacy — all welcome at hello@fileguru.pro. If you're reporting a file that didn't work, send a description of it, not the file itself.
